New Beads for Cascading Necklaces
While I have been really busy with learning to work with metals in a little more depth, I have still had some time to create some jewelry for all of you! After going to the Tucson Bead Show, I picked up some new beads that I just love and couldn't wait to use in my designs. The beads are saucer shaped with the hole drilled at the top of the bead. This allows for the bead to hang down and lay flat against other beads. I am loving these beads and the way they look in the light!

Bead organization!
Things are coming along. I have my office organized and about half of my beads hung up (pictures below), just returned from the Tucson Bead shows and am in week 3 of my fabrication class. So far in my class I have only managed to hand saw a warped circle, but now that I'm using the die cutter, my circles are virtually perfect!!! Working with metal is so different than beading and I am actually loving it!!

Today's the day
I have finally started to organize my jewelry room. I am about half way done with the room but it is already coming together. I'm hoping that the new organization will allow me to see my beads more easily in order to get some inspiration from the various colors and sizes displayed right in front of me. It's still messy but it is getting there.
I also signed up for a jewelry fabrication course at the Mesa Arts Center. I'm excited to learn more about the fabrication side of jewelry as I've mostly focused on the pretty colors and making jewelry that I would wear. The class starts the end of January and I can't wait!
